June 19 – 22
Chaumont
The Unforgettable Party of 2025
We are so excited to welcome you to the second edition of our festival!
The Laughing Heart Festival is inspired by the Burning Man Festival in Nevada (USA). Its name comes from a poem by Charles Bukowski (see below). We encourage all participants to contribute creatively to the festival—whether by playing music, showcasing artwork, offering amazing massages or yoga classes, reading poetry, or even reading palms!
If you’re unsure how to contribute, you can still be part of the experience by helping out with bar service or other community tasks.
We are a small, intimate festival that values safety and diversity, creating a welcoming space for everyone. We’d love to see you this June in the stunning French countryside—just 4.5 hours from Amsterdam, and 2.5 hours from both Brussels and Paris by car.
YOUR LIFE IS YOUR LIFE
DON’T LET IT BE CLUBBED INTO DANK SUBMISSION.
BE ON THE WATCH.
THERE ARE WAYS OUT.
THERE IS A LIGHT SOMEWHERE.
IT MAY NOT BE MUCH LIGHT BUT IT BEATS THE DARKNESS.
BE ON THE WATCH.
THE GODS WILL OFFER YOU CHANCES.
KNOW THEM.
TAKE THEM.
YOU CAN’T BEAT DEATH BUT
YOU CAN BEAT DEATH IN LIFE, SOMETIMES.
AND THE MORE OFTEN YOU LEARN TO DO IT, THE MORE LIGHT THERE WILL BE.
YOUR LIFE IS YOUR LIFE.
KNOW IT WHILE YOU HAVE IT.
YOU ARE MARVELOUS
THE GODS WAIT TO DELIGHT IN YOU.
— CHARLES BUKOWSKI
Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or identity. Together, we create a safe environment.
Share your talents, goods, and services without expecting anything in return.
Avoid commercial transactions and focus on sharing experiences.
Take responsibility for yourself and contribute to the community.
You are allowed to be yourself. Be authentic and don’t hold back in expressing your creativity.
Collaborate and help others to create a thriving community.
Take responsibility for the well-being of others and the environment.
Leave the environment clean and minimize your impact on nature.
Stay actively involved in the experiences and activities of the festival.
Experience the moment and live in the present, without distractions from technology or other disturbances!
Glad you asked! We encourage everyone to actively participate in creating an unforgettable festival together. We’ll need to organize it as a team. Several people have already signed up to make music or host workshops. Do you have something fun in mind? Let us know, and we’ll provide what you need and include it in the program. The more variety, the more fun it will be. We will have a communal dinner on Friday with a big party and bonfire, and on Saturday we’ll do it all over again with the afterparty! There will also be bands and DJs, an outdoor cinema, a dance floor, yoga sessions, etc.
For example:
• Showcase your art
• Help with food preparation
• Organize live stratego
• Petanque competition
• Give massages
• Face painting
